	Veranda Maltese was founded in 1998 and is a breeding program dedicated to the continued development of the maltese breed. Through the support and advisement of many established maltese breeders including Divine, Rhapsody, Pashes, Chrisman and Marcris Maltese, to name just a few, our goal is to produce on a limited scale top quality maltese that can contribute to the improvement of the breed.
On our Homepage and on subsequents pages you will find many pictures of Multiple BIS/BISS CH Divine's Indecent Desparado ROM* - "Bandit. Bandit was campaigned through out the country by our good friend and handler Tonia Holibaugh. We appreciate Tonia's hard work with all our dogs. Bandit won 59 Group 1sts and 7 All Breed Best in Shows. Bandit was the #1 Maltese Breed System and #14 Toy dog for 2001 and #1 Maltese All Systems and #9 Toy for 2002. Bandit is now retired form the show ring and will hopefully play important role as a building block for Veranda Maltese as he is now ROM eligible. Angie and Larry Stanberry were very gracious in sharing him with us.
	Also, through out my site you see the influence of another of my BIS boys, Multiple BIS/BISS CH Marcris Thrill of Victory ROM* - Thriller. Thriller is owned by myself and owner/handler Tonia Holibaugh. He is bred by Joyce Watkins of the famous Marcris Maltese Reg. Thriller won 14 US All-Breed Best in Shows, 1 canadian BIS, over 70 Group 1sts, 2004 AMA National Specialty, Best of Breed at Westminster in 2003 & 2004, and BOB 2005 and BOB/Group 2 in Dec 2003 at the AKC Eukanuba Inviational. Thriller has over 20 champion kids too, and is also ROM* eligible. We look to Thriller to make a wonderful contribution to our breeding program!
In 2005, I became a part of a group of my good friends in Backing Multiple BIS Am/Can CH Divine's Marc of Friendship - "Marc" in his Specials career! Marc is bred by Angie Stanberry and Sheila Riley, sponsored by PurePaws and owned by Angie Stanberry, Linda Nelson, Sheila Meyers and Myself. As with all my dogs Marc is being shown by Tonia Holibaugh. Marc is the # 1 Maltese All-Systems and in the Top 20 Toys (as of June 2005). I am so proud to work with these wonderful ladies with this truly outstanding dog! Look for Marc's kids next year!!
	We have currently have five girls here at Veranda: CH Chrisman's Square Bizz - "Tina Marie", CH Divine's Heavenly Angel "Sera", CH Veranda's Queen of the Bandits "Bella", CH Veranda's Dixie Dori - "Dori", and CH Rhapsody's Oh So Thrilling - "So". A big thank you to Joyce, Angie, Larry, Tonia, Manny and Christopher for letting us have these beautiful girls! We have some very exciting litters planned in the upcoming future. Look for our baby puppies and our upcoming litters on our Puppy Page. We have high hopes for the new stars here at Veranda!!
Veranda Maltese is a family endeavor. Our two sons Jeff and John Paul, as well as John Paul's wife Kishla and our grandbaby - "Rex", regularly go to the shows with us and have actively supported us in our new venture.
